OptionProfit is a free options profit calculator, scanner and learning hub. Our goal is to make options analysis that’s usually locked behind paid platforms accessible to everyone.
What we do

- An Option Academy of plain-English guides to the concepts every trader should know.
How it works & where data comes from
Calculations use the Black-Scholes model and a lognormal probability model. Option and stock prices come from a third-party market-data feed and are delayed by roughly 15 minutes. The site is supported by advertising so it can stay free.
Who is behind OptionProfit
OptionProfit is built and maintained by an independent developer and active options trader with years of hands-on experience trading equity options and building financial tools. The calculators and pricing models were implemented from first principles (Black-Scholes, the Greeks, lognormal probability) and are covered by an automated test suite, so the numbers you see are transparent and reproducible.
Our guides are written from real trading experience and reviewed for accuracy before publishing. We write in plain English, avoid hype, and clearly separate facts from opinion. We are options traders and engineers — not licensed financial advisers — so everything here is educational, never personalised advice.
Who writes OptionProfit
OptionProfit is built and maintained by its three founding directors, each covering one side of options trading:
- Dennis Bosmans — software engineer. He builds and maintains the calculator, the scanning engine and the market-data pipeline, and writes the tooling and data guides.
- Yojana Mandon — mathematician (MSc Mathematics). She owns the quantitative side: options pricing, probability of profit, the Greeks and expected value — the math the engine runs on.
- Leida Casadiegos — psychologist (MSc Psychology). She writes on the mental side of trading: discipline, managing fear and greed, and the behavioral biases that quietly cost traders money.
The engine is open and test-covered, and every explanation is verified against that same engine before it is published. We write from hands-on experience in plain language; we are specialists in our own fields rather than licensed financial advisers, so everything here is educational, never personalised advice.

- Every strategy explanation is checked against the actual payoff math in our own calculator.
- We update content as markets, rules and our tools change; each article shows its last-updated date.
- We disclose that the site is ad-supported and that quotes are delayed — see our disclaimer.
